US Surface Portfolio Product Marketing Manager,
Based in Waterloo, home to Canada’s fastest-growing tech companies, Jordan Jocius launches 20-30 innovative tech startups every year as Director of Founder Institute, the world’s largest pre-seed accelerator headquartered in Silicon Valley.
Born a farmer, he helped turn his family farm business into an advertising and events company—Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show—and one of the largest outdoor trade shows on the planet which sold to Glacier Media Group in 2011.
He has gone from growing crops, to now growing tech startups. He has a unique passion for helping founders grow disruptive tech startups through the farming practise of hard work, creativity, and pure grit.
Luke has spent over a decade working with B2B and B2C companies on brand strategy, marketing, and go to market development. He’s currently the Surface Portfolio Product Marketing Manager for Microsoft US where he is part of the team that helps develop the commercialization and marketing strategy for Microsoft’s devices and accessories. Prior to that he worked at two national marketing agencies in various capacities including account management, strategy, and growth.
Mattaniah Harp is an Enterprise Architect at Paychex. He works constantly working to develop Paychex as a company – in terms of technical systems, business opportunities, and any other growth. He designs and builds new patterns, processes, and systems to support the next 15+ years of business operations.
Mattaniah is also a serial entrepreneur, entrepreneur-in-residence, and micro-fund investor. He has founded, funded, or advised over 30 local area companies during a variety of stages.He evaluates startup pitches for many different business types, including pulling apart pitches for emerging companies and judging student-led entities during pitch competitions. He has recently served as a judge for University of Rochester Ain Center’s business pitch competitions.
Mattaniah remains very active in startup community spaces in the Upstate NY region. He is on multiple calls each week, working with local area entrepreneurs to refine their pitch, develop their business, or provide any assistance.
Mattaniah believes strongly in servant leadership and recently published a book of meditations on leadership with the intent to support those who look to lead, including leadership of new and existing businesses. He continues to engage in conversations on how to best develop and support new leaders, whether in educational environments, corporations, or startup spaces.
Tekkiner is a platform for creative refinement through an iterative ideation process. It targets the process of creating and refining a new business plan through tracking iterative progress.
Tekkiner specializes in innovation prospecting, refinement, and acceleration - providing education, research, and assessment tools to local founders and entrepreneurs.
