RocGrowth is helping to build the New Rochester and will highlight some of our community's leading social entrepreneurs at our next event. We are partnering with our friends at Startup Grind to co-produce a virtual pitch battle Thurs., Oct. 28, 5:30-7pm. What is social entrepreneurship? It is a commitment to build a profitable business while providing community benefits that are often associated with non-profits. It demonstrates that for-profits can be effective at "doing good" for the community. What is a pitch battle? Five social entrepreneurs will provide a brief explanation of their company, mission and efficacy. Judges will determine a winner based on the most persuasive presentation. Pitch Battle applicants apply here by Oct. 18th.
