The Startup Grind Rochester & Grow-NY teams are collaborating for an exciting special edition of the monthly Pitch-In! This event will feature food & ag-tech companies and offer a chance to practice your pitch as you apply for the $1M top prize Grow-NY Food & Agriculture Business Competition (5/15 deadline). Our pitch event in Rochester will feature a pitch from a Grow-NY winner, giving insights to new food and ag founders and aspiring startups and an opportunity for Q&A! This hybrid pitch and open forum event is open to anyone. We hope to see you there! 5:30pm - Meet and greet 6:00pm - Pitches 6:45pm - Cocktail hour PITCH FORMAT Startup Pitch - 10 minutes Open Q&A - 5 minutes Speaker 1: Paul Guglielmo - Craft Cannery - Former Grow NY Winner Craft Cannery takes YOUR recipes and creates YOUR delicious and special products, just the way you want them. We specialize in sauces, dressings, oils, marinades, teas, soups, meat sauces, meal-in-jar (like chili and jambalaya) and more. We make products that go on the shelves in grocery stores (big and small), are served in restaurants, professionally prepared by caterers, sold by local artisan’s at Farmer’s Markets, and more. Speaker 2: Ujj Rai - Chula Chula (meaning kitchen in Nepali/Hindi/Urdu/Bengali) is a humble, yet ambitious endeavor aimed at bridging the gap between local farmers, cooks, and consumers. With Chula, we aim to build a community where everyone has a seat at the table, where farmers can showcase their produce directly to consumers, and where cooks can craft meals that celebrate the bounty of our local land. Consumers have access to local, healthy meals while supporting local farmers and cooks. Chula is a 0% commission and free signup platform that bridges the gap between local users, cooks, and farmers by providing a seamless digital ecosystem for listing, ordering, and processing payments. Speaker 3: Mercedes Wilson - Sadies Relish Sadie's Relsih is a cabbage based relish that is sold in over 135 grocery stores including Tops Friendly Markets, Wegmans, Price Chopper/Market32 and more. This cabbage based relish goes great IN or ON dishes, so whether you are adding flavor to your favorite entertainment board, your pot roasts, or your families summer grilling experience, we have you covered! This event will be held at Suite 2200 of Sibley Square in Rochester NY. Parking options: Mortimer Parking Garage, St. Joe's Parking Garage, or street parking.
