In 2015 Alberto co-founded Cityflag, Inc. Cityflag is a civic technology company that developed the first social network for 311 services, which allows you to report infrastructure issues such as potholes, outages and vandalism while crafting ‘Civic Stories’ and building a more inclusive local government. In 2017, Cityflag also developed FixThis, a Rental Property Management platform that is designed to support both tenants and landlords by enabling them to document and communicate repair issues. Alberto’s Cityflag operation has also reached an international audience by innovating the governmental processes and developing a smart city platform for Delegación Cuauhtémoc in Mexico City. Alberto was recently recognized by Forbes as a 2018 “30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur” for his social impact work within the technology sector.
