Our upcoming Startup Grind San Jose fireside chat is hosting Yosuke Suzuki of Japan Airlines Ventures.

Yosuke Suzuki is the Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Japan Airlines Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Japan Airlines. In this role, he leads the firm’s investment strategy, fund operations, and financial management, while driving the evolution of JAL’s venture investment platform.

Since joining the investment function in 2022, he has been responsible for the Japan Airlines Innovation Fund I, a $70 million fund launched in 2019 in partnership with TransLink Capital.

In March 2026, he spearheaded the transition to a fully in-house CVC model through the establishment of Japan Airlines Ventures and the launch of its second fund, a $50 million vehicle, where he oversees investment execution and fund management.

Yosuke began his career at Japan Airlines in 2007 and spent over a decade in the Revenue Management Division, where he led Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). In this role, he oversaw mid- to long-term revenue planning, financial performance management, and pricing strategy optimization for the airline’s core business.

Founders will learn how to pitch and structure partnerships with corporate venture arms, what a strategic investor looks for beyond returns, and how to turn a single corporate relationship into global market access.
