Julián Ugarte is a Social Entrepreneur, design-thinker, and strategy professional. He holds an undergraduate degree of Industrial Design, and is a graduate of Singularity University.
Founder of the Social Innovation Center of TECHO, one of the largest and most successful nonprofit organizations in Latin America. Run by university students and young professionals.
Currently he is the Executive Director of
Socialab; Spin Off of TECHO. A platform who support Social-Tech entrepreneurs and Social-Business. Just in 2012 Socialab has more than 2,5K Applications for be accelerated with them. Socialab gives more than 2 million dollars in seed capital and open a Cowork space in Chile, Uruguay, Colombia and Argentina.
In 2010, Julián was recognized as one of the top 100 leaders in Chile and Julian and Socialab`s work has been exhibit in places like HBS, UN, IDB, Washington Post, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, CNN, among others.
