Hee-Eun Park has been in the startup scene for several years, and is an expert in investment in startups. Currently, Hee-Eun Park is Principal at Altos Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm that recently raised the largest Korea-focused fund in history by a US venture firm. Before joining Altos Ventures, she was a co-founder and CEO of IUM, an Altos-funded company in Korea. As a co-founder and CEO of IUM, Hee-Eun Park took the company from a business plan to the largest mobile dating service in Korea, with a hope to “create a communication channel that affects people’s life style.” Now, IUM serves over one million subscribers, and is often referred to as Korea’s number one online social dating service. For her creative work, she also won many awards, including 1st prize in KOTRA Global Venture Award in 2012 and winner of Korea venture competition of woman in 2010. Hee-Eun began her career as a Strategy Manager at NCsoft. She also received a BS in Communications from the Seoul National University.
