Ji Hong Hwang led the launch of UberEATS in Korea and is currently the head of operations in Seoul, where she is in charge of executing product strategy to expand UberEATS’ footprint in the food tech and food delivery market. As a passionate believer in the power of technology to connect society, Ji started her career at Uber as an intern, and was promoted to operations manager, where she helped launch several Uber rides products in Seoul such as UberBLACK in Korea. Her role involved a mix of strategy, operations, marketing and business development. Prior to Uber, she was an urban planning specialist for the City of Champaign, Illinois and a city planning consulting firm in San Francisco. Ji received a B.A. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
