Richard was born in Seoul, South Korea and spent his teenage years in Hong Kong. Upon completing high school, Richard studied biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University, and got his masters degree at Cornell. He returned to Korea in 2007 and worked at R&D division of SK Chemicals. He co-founded Spoqa Inc. in 2011 to improve the way local merchants manage their customers.
The mission of Startup Grind is to educate, connect, and inspire entrepreneurs. Startup Grind Seoul in partnership with Asan-Nanum Foundation meets monthly in the heart of Seoul.
