China, once called as “Factory of the world” is now rising as a global deep-tech startup pioneer. Why do Korea seem to consider less about China while entire globe is gathering their interest? To us, China has stopped in some where 20 years ago. Undefined cautiousness against its system, stereotypes covered on top of ethnicity of China, underestimation on china's market and economy with no base. Fabien Martin held the position of co-director of Startup Grind Chengdu for over 2 years and organized well over 20 China-related events. In addition, he is the Co-Founder of Founders Lair, a Singapore/Beijing headquarted platform that aims to involve more stakeholders to better distribute opportunities in the different innovation ecosystem. As such he is constantly involved in the Chinese innovation ecosystem. Previously, he worked in Artificial Intelligence and in Venture Capital in Southeast Asia. He studied in various universities including Tsinghua University, University of Sydney and Lancaster University and worked in countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, Nepal and of course France.
