In a year of transformational changes across the landscape of work, focusing intentionally on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) has emerged as one of the most important aspects of company culture that a startup needs to be successful. While DEI can often be overlooked by startups due to limited resources, it’s important to recognize that these young businesses have a unique position as advocates for change. Startups have influence that can shift the workplace, society, and the world we live in.
DEI needs to be built into the foundation of your company culture at the earliest possible stage. These building blocks will uphold the key values that will maintain a powerful company architecture, providing much needed stability. It will help ensure an invincible network of shared beliefs, and it will make it easier to incorporate best practices into your company later on.
Startup Grind’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit Presented By Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs is bringing together DEI experts for a half-day event filled with educational fireside chats, keynotes, and engaging audience Q+A. Whether you're just beginning your startup’s DEI initiatives or looking to reevaluate your company’s DEI strategy, now is the time to assess your company’s efforts towards building a winning culture. #SGDEI #SGStartupSummit
About Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Month
This month Startup Grind is celebrating DEI month, presented with SVB and supported by Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs. DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; 31 days to emphasize the importance of diversity across our global startup ecosystem, and what it means to all of us. We are so excited to take this time to recognize and amplify the voices of leaders in our globally diverse communities, providing a platform for those that may not have been heard previously.
In addition to this event, you can also view Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Month events taking place across our global startup community here.
