Jomayra is an investor at Cowboy Ventures, a seed-stage focused venture firm where she focuses on investing in the future of work and edtech companies. Prior to Cowboy, she spent nearly 3 years as an investor at Emerson Collective. As an early hire on the investing team, she played an important role in building key investment theses, creating internal processes, and helping to grow the team. During her time there, she led the firm's investments in companies like Handshake and Career Karma. Before Emerson Collective, she worked at BloomBoard, an early-stage education technology company, where she focused on customer success and sales.
Terah is Vice President at Guild Education where she leads the Learning Marketplace Solutions, Guild’s professional services division, which helps institutions better serve working adult learners. Prior to Guild’s acquisition of Entangled Solutions, Terah was a Senior Partner and head of Entangled’s higher education practices where she focused on helping schools innovate into new markets.
Prior to Guild/Entangled, Terah led growth for Sixup and innovation/corp dev efforts at Arizona State University’s Enterprise Partners. Terah is a former high school drop out, first generation, and nontraditional student turned alumna of UNC-Chapel Hill, Brown, and Harvard.
Mario is a Principal at Emerge Education, a European seed stage fund investing in founders solving the $8.5tn skills gap, backed by the world's foremost education entrepreneurs. Before Emerge, Mario was a strategy consultant at Monitor Group and led transactions at Social Finance, Europe's leading social impact investment and advisory firm. He holds a BA from Harvard University.
