Next Chapter Raise & Next Chapter Ventures
Nicole founded Next Chapter Ventures, the first female-focused rewards-crowdfunding platform in Asia and Australia. Building on the crowdfunding platform success Nicole then founded Next Chapter Raise, a digital membership community for female entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses to help them get funded faster through different capital sources.
Nicole is also the co-founder of Sophia, a financial education platform focused on tackling the gender wealth and investing gap for women.
Nicole’s had a 15-year career working at PricewaterhouseCoopers before moving into entrepreneurship working with female founders.
Nicole was previously on the Board of the Women Entrepreneurs Network in Hong Kong and a member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Network’s Executive Committee.
Nicole has worked with hundreds of female founders and investor changemakers to understand and address the issues facing female entrepreneurs who are looking to fund and scale their businesses.
Christina is the Chief Builder of she1K. Launched in November 2018 and backed by Enterprise Singapore, she1K is the world's 1st and only corporate executive angel network, with more than 50% female representation, that champions and funds startups. Since her return to Singapore end 2016, she has been active in the startup ecosystem and first started by supporting female founders through StartupAsiaWomen community. Today, she1K is gender and industry agnostic in their investments.
Christina is an avid angel investor herself and builds a strong portfolio of investments through their flagship program, C-shark Tank, which runs 2-3 times a year. She has also recently launched a peer network program catered only to C-suites, chiefX.
Prior to she1K, she was appointed the Singapore Director of the first global maritime accelerator, PortXL, headquartered in Rotterdam.
Christina brings with her a stellar corporate career spanning technology, dotcom and mobile in several breakthrough roles. Her last corporate role was as the Chief Marketing Officer of Hong Kong’s 2nd largest mobile service provider, leading a team of 90 and bearing P & L responsibility of half the company as well as owning all devices strategy and ranging. She assumed various roles at Acer in Taiwan and Europe for 7 years - became a country manager for Acer Italy at 29 with P & L accountability. Shortly after, she pioneered direct marketing at IBM ASEAN, then moved to HK with DEC, followed by 3Com, all with regional undertakings. Her entry to dotcom was with Yahoo! as the first GM in Singapore. With no prior experience in the mobile industry, she launched the world's first Windows smartphone with O2 and took the data device business from zero to US$300 mil in Asia Pacific within 3 years. Most of her career was built outside of Singapore.
Christina has been recognised as Linkedin Top Voices 2020 and is a strong proponent of women empowerment through her WomenChangemakers community events. She is also a much sought after speaker as well as judge for many startup pitch events and competitions.
