Nami Zarringhalam
co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Truecaller - Stockholms 7:th Unicorn*
Nami Zarringhalam is the co-founder of Truecaller, the mobile app that let’s you see who’s calling, block unwanted calls, and has more than 150 million users globally. Nami oversees long-term partnerships and the development of product road maps to bolster Truecaller’s growth in new and existing markets. This year they are projected to hit 300 million users. Truecaller is one of the hottest companies to come out of Sweden the last couple of years and Nami has been instrumental to the enormous growth of this company.
Earlier this year Techcrunch wrote that Truecaller is looking to raise around $100 million at a $1 billion valuation. Previous investors include (among others) Atomico, Sequoia Capital and Access Partners.
Previously, Nami co-founded two startups in Sweden along with his business partner and co-founder of Truecaller, Alan Mamedi. The two companies, Möbeljakt and Jobbigt.se, became the largest search engine for home interiors, and the largest network for employee reviews, respectively. Prior to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Nami worked as an IT consultant for successful companies in real estate and service industries where he implemented and optimized IT processes. Nami currently lives with his family in Stockholm and is an alumnus of KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where he obtained a degree in Computer Science and a master’s degree in Engineering Management.
