Meet Dave Wright, Silicon Valley Entrepreneur and three times startup founder

After achieving notoriety in the online gaming community for creating Rocket Arena, he left Stanford in 1998 to help start GameSpy Industries. While at GameSpy, he was responsible for leading the development of online middleware and backend systems supporting millions of users across PC and Console platforms including the PS2, PS3, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. He served as the Chief Architect of IGN. In 2007 Dave founded Jungle Disk, a pioneer and early leader in cloud based storage and backup soutions for consumers and businesses. Jungle Disk was acquired by leading cloud provider Rackspace in 2008 and Dave worked closely with the Rackspace Cloud division to build a cloud platform supporting tens of thousands of customers. In Dec 2009 Dave left Rackspace to start SolidFire which became one of the fastest growing storage companies. In 2016 SolidFire was acquired by NetApp for $870m and Dave now serves as VP / General Manager of the SolidFire division.
