Welcome to the kick-off session for Startup Grind Stockholm fall 2014! We feel honored to invite one of the most remarkable female entrepreneurs in Sweden right now on stage to share her stories about the passion for space travels, innovation, do-tanks and TEDx. Spacegirl Karin Nilsdotter is Sweden’s voice and international leader in the prospering and super exciting era of commercial space travel. Karin is building a new industry and as CEO and partner of Spaceport Sweden, she is creating a world leading spaceport offering spaceflights for tourism, research, education and a platform for cross-industry innovation and startups. Working with the international space community and other entrepreneurs like Sir Richard Branson, Anousheh Ansari and Elon Musk the sky is not the limit as Karin seeks to launch not only spaceships but also new products, experiences and careers out of this world, from Sweden. With a passion for innovation Karin initiated Creative Space in 2011 as a do-tank. Working with academia and young talent, using space as the platform, to aim is to be a catalyst for new products and experiences, supporting startups and regional growth; receiving multiple innovation awards. Karin is further the founder of TEDxKiruna, arranged annually since 2012 as a cross-disciplinary forum for great minds to meet and be inspired by speakers from a local to an international level.
