About this event

Wednesday May 28th it´s time for another event with the famous fireside-chat. This charismatic woman started out as the heiress of BabyBjörn and continued by creating an innovative skate company. Startup Grind Stockholm and Google for Entrepreneurs #40forward program welcome you to listen to the personal story of Lisa Thorén, CEO of ProSk8 and former Communications Manager, responsible for the international rollout of Babybjörn. Lisa Thoren started her entrepreneurial life as the heiress of the Swedish baby product company BabyBjörn. After years of success in Sweden Lisa initiated the international strategy, and as Communications Manager she gained a lot of experience on how to think and what to do to take the next international step with your company. After more than 10 years with BabyBjörn she switched from baby products to being a Business Angel and among others invested in the innovative company ProSk8, where she today is the a rebel in the skate market. Lisa will both share the failures and learnings from the international expansion with BabyBjörn and ProSk8. At the other side of fire-chat we present one of our most active Startup Grind visitors, the fantastic entrepreneur and speaker Therese Gedda. Therese is founder and CEO of 30minMBA - a startup that offers sticky summaries of great business books in audio and text in a storytelling format. She is often invited as a keynote speaker to be part of entrepreneurial events, conferences and competitions and it will be a pleasure hearing her interesting questions to Lisa.
