Venture technology backer Stephen Moss has funded over 21 fledgling online businesses that could eventually debut on the Australian Securities Exchange.
Stephen is the founder & CEO of Black Citrus, an investment firm owned by the Boston Group of Companies based in Sydney with offices through Asia and Iran.
Over the past 3 years BlackCitrus has invested in over 21 seed and growth tech opportunities and plan to complete a further 9 investments this year. BlackCitrus have raised over $30m within the early stage tech space through and an impressive advisory board focused on strategic investment.
Prior to BlackCitrus Stephen was a personal investor and Director in COzero, a BRW Fast 100 business (#1). Post investment, Stephen facilitated a part-sale to Nippon Gas in Japan as strategic investors and the business is currently entering a Pre-IPO round with revenue’s over $200m. Prior to Cozero Stephen was a Director of Moss Capital (now Eleanor Investments ASX:ENN).
Stephen is a supporter of numerous charities and recently won the 2012 Australian Innovation Award for developing iOS/Android applications for charities. Stephen also has a passion for the environment and has acted as a Delegate of the United Nations within the UNFCCC Climate Change Negotiations and as a member of the Hong Kong Government’s clean air council. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Economics, Masters in Finance, and recently completed his MBA at Macquarie Graduate School of Management
