With a storefront in Ybor City Roberto and his two business partners have turned the company they launched in a coworking space to a celebrated brand with national reach and he has goal for Black & Denim to be to Tampa what Levis is to San Francisco.

Roberto Torres abandoned a glamorous career in accounting and finance to found Black & Denim Apparel Company in March 2008. With a storefront in Ybor City offering a unique line of clothing manufactured in Tampa and Los Angeles, Roberto and his two business partners, Luis Montanez and Christopher Findeisen have turned the company they launched in a coworking space into a celebrated brand with national reach. Roberto has goal for Black & Denim to be to Tampa what Levis is to San Francisco. He isn’t slowing down either and has opted to become a parallel entrepreneur with a new technology startup focused on making good lifestyle choices as well. Roberto will share how he has failed his way to success, a slogan that graces the front of a Black & Denim t-shirt. He takes tremendous pride the their motto: “American Inspired, American Made, American Owned”. All garments and accessories high end and the designs that stick closely to Americana themes, including music and the military, and all are made in the U.S.
