Began his career in Germany working as an assistant controller for an ITW subsidiary near Frankfurt. After a three year stint in Europe, he returned to the U.S. to continue working in accounting management roles and attaining his Certificate in Management Accounting. At MetLife Corporate Investments he taught himself application development and launched and supported many high profile applications. Mr. Kotscher moved into full time consulting and sales in IT when he moved to GE Capital ITS where he led the advanced application development team. That team would eventually become Conduit which Mr. Kotscher co-founded and later sold to Romac Consulting (kforce.com). Mr. Kotscher led all consulting and sales activities for the Atlanta region for Romac (kforce) Consulting as the regional director. It was at this time that he founded a team that specialized in the emerging area of wireless and pervasive computing. As one of the early partners with IBM Software group, Mr. Kotscher was in a unique position to join IBM Wireless eBusiness as a Principal where he lead many key partnerships and sales efforts on leading edge technology. Mr. Kotscher held a global role in wireless solution development and worked with many top wireless carriers on large strategic alliances. In his last two years at IBM, Mr. Kotscher developed an interest and expertise in Intelligent Transportation Solutions (ITS) and has been developing and selling solutions in the industry for six years. His expertise in video analytics and location based services allowed him to create and sell ground breaking solutions in traffic monitoring and management systems. He founded MetroTech to bring his vision and passion to market to save lives, combat traffic congestion, and reduce emissions.
