Celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week we are hosting a remarkable innovator and entrepreneurs who has done business in a dozen countries, including Georgia, Australia, the US, and numerous Eastern European countries.
The problem with international speakers is that after the talk, they go home. Not this time!
International fintech pioneer Andrew Thornhill will join us to share about his experience of fintech on different continents, but he is also here to stay!
Andrew first came to Georgia in 2007, and can't shake the feeling. Startup Grind is privileged to be able to host Andrew for the first event in his roll-out of the Spotcoin global digital currency trading platform!
Rather than chasing the money, Andrew has brought it to Georgia. Their initial launch brings $1,000,000 of investment, and that's just the beginning!
We hope the whole Georgian startup community will come out and celebrate on November 17th and give Andrew a proper Georgian Welcome!
Spotcoin promises to be the platform for digital currency-fiat currency transactions in the world. Working with both institutional investors and individuals the platform provides an efficient and credible platform for significant transactions in this cutting-edge market space.
But this is not Andrew's first rodeo. He has consulted around the world, including doing Fintech work in Georgia which has created companies, systems and programs responsible for over $1,000,000,000 in transactions.
He thrives on the challenge and opportunities that developing markets offer and has led teams that speak Russian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian and Georgian. In pursuit of opportunities to do interesting work that creates scalable value Andrew has lived and worked in over a dozen countries around the world – mostly in Eastern Europe. He has cultivated deep expertise in creating and leading business teams that focus on software programming specializing in payments, systems integration and training.
Whether your interests run with fintech and digital currencies or not, the evening with Andrew will be a fascinating, and often amusing, journey of innovation, experimentation, defeats and victories.
We hope you will join us for this unique event, and to connect with this force of nature who has chosen to make Georgia his home.
We also will have some special announcements.
