As Tbilisi hosts international guests on trade and transportation at the Silk Road Forum, Startup Grind and Bank of Georgia are hosting a star from the fintech work with his eye on Georgia.

Simon Vans-Colina will share his story and network with Georgian founders and local business leaders in a Startup Grind fireside chat at the Tbilisi Marriott where he also will spend time meeting founders and discussing his thoughts on the future of banking.

Simon was a founding team member of the world-famous digital bank Monzo in the UK, and is an internationally respected expert in fintech innovation. He led open banking at Monzo bank and was also part of the Open Banking Working Group that defined open banking in the UK

After Monzo he became CTO of Big Pay bank in Southeast Asia, a digital bank which grew to millions of users and cofounder of a new project which is still in stealth ode.

After BigPay, Simon has his sights set on another, even more innovative project which is not yet announced but which he is considering doing in Georgia.

In addition we will host a short panel discussion on the future of banking and "next generation" fintech.
