Ohio Tech Angels Fund is a top angel fund in the US, and is investing its 5th fund. Over 340 angels have participated, leading Crunchbase to call it the largest angel group in the US.

They make direct initial investments of up to $500K in high-growth companies in specific technology fields. Members of the fund also can make additional "sidecar" investments in companies they especially like. The funds OTAF puts in are followed by others to fund seed and early stage raises of $750K to $2.5MM.
Its success is built on a disciplined and professional due diligence process, as well as rigorous evaluation of capital access plans and exit roadmaps. This discipline has helped them attract follow-on investment from VCs, which is often a challenge in Ohio. Zach is principal at Venture Corp Dev LLC (http://www.venturecorpdev.com) , where he works with managers,investors, and Boards of Directors of privately held high-growth companies on critical-stage finance and strategy issues. He also provides investor services such as buy-side due diligence and valuation.
He is a fiduciary Board of Directors member for a leading solar photovoltaic equipment maker andserves as a board observer or advisor for several Venture Capital and Angel backed software companies. He is a contract Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) for TechGROWTH Ohio, providing in-depth advising and mentoring.
Zach co-wrote, with OTAF Founder John Huston, the “Strategic Value Plan Methodology”, which is a data-driven targeted strategic planning process to increase a company’s strategic value and help founders and their BOD members work together more effectively on capital access and exit planning.
