After the panel, we'll have a pitch session, were Georgian teams demonstrate their pitch decks and get valuable insights from international mentors/investors, who have started accelerators in different countries and are launching a 15MM GBP seed fund.

A passionate supporter of entrepreneurs across the MENA region and strong believer that the region will produce high growth innovation. Omar founded the UK-MENA HUB. The hub is a London based and provides services to technology businesses, economic development boards, venture capital and stakeholders from the MENA region, the primary focus of the hub is to support the flow of entrepreneurs, capital & know-how between UK & MENA. Providing access to programs, investors, and corporates and funding. Omar has spent many years working with a diverse list of clients across MENA region such as Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Aluminium, Aluminium Bahrain, Emaar and others.
Omar has experience working within the public services sector as investment Manager for the Mayor of London’s office. Most recently Omar has been creating development programs around SME and entrepreneurship growth with clients such as The European Investment Bank, European Bank For Reconstruction and Development, GIZ.
Tom Strodtbeck is a mentor and advisor to startups, a pitch coach, and three times a company founder. Tom is the Cofounder of Global Growth Hub Ltd, which operates seed and growth acceleration programmes for promising technology startups and scale-ups from around the world.
From 2005 to 2015, Tom was director of training and international programmes for the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA), a network of over 800 entrepreneurship programmes worldwide. During his ten-years at the association, Tom created NBIA’s flagship training programme, The Certificate Programme for Incubator Managers, and which has been delivered on every continent (save Antartica) and translated in Chinese, Spanish, Russian and French.
In all, Tom has collaborated with incubators, accelerators, universities, governments and investors in over 30 countries. Past clients include the Global Accelerator Network, the European Investment Bank, the InfoComm Development Authority of Singapore, The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development in Abu Dhabi, Virginia Tech University, Re:Coded in Iraq, the GITEX Summit in Dubai, among many others.
Tom is a visiting lecturer on entrepreneurship at Liverpool John Moores University, a Subject Matter Expert for the Brandery Accelerator in Cincinnati, Ohio USA, and is a founding board member of GEN UK, an affiliate of the Global Entrepreneurship Network.
Pedro Santos Vieira is a founding member and VP of Science at GoodGuide. Aside from food and wine, he loves turning complex science into cool products. He advises startups on product and business strategy; and helps investors assessing investment opportunities.
Pedro is engineer turned manager, with deep experience in the tech world. Got Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley and his research and publications have received awards both in Europe and in the US. After doing some time as management consultant, he started building companies. First venture was backed by NEA and DFJ and created tools to help companies sell, and consumers buy, safer and healthier products. These tools are used today by millions of users around the world, and by a diverse set of companies ranging from small companies to large Fortune 500, including the major US retailers.
After that he started WiserGo to change the way people plan and book their trips; and more recently West to West and the Discoveries Syndicate to help other entrepreneurs succeed in Silicon Valley. He has experience on both sides of the table as operator and investor, and with all the different stages of a venture from idea to growth, through fundraising, product development, engineering management and biz dev. He brings in strong domain expertise in the Green and Digital Health spaces, but more generically he has strong analytical skills, data, science and technology expertise. He use all this experience to invest and advise both EU and US startups including TalkDesk (500S), HypeLabs (AngelPad), Prodsmart (500S), Utrust (500S), Agroop (Top Seedrs) and ClimateEarth (UB Berkeley).
