About this event

*** Aviad Harell won't be speaking about China. The fireside chat with Aviad and the "Make It In China" semi-finals are two high-quality but separate items taking place over one event. Please see details and agenda below. ***

Our fireside chat with Aviad Harell will cover topics such as growth, scale, global management, organizational culture, partnership formation, innovation, finding great unique selling points, and other business decisions faced by large tech companies, and will aim at producing actionable insights for startups at all stages.

China is the world’s largest market and manufacturing hub. THero and Brinc.io are bringing the "Make It In China" Startup Contest to 9 cities worldwide: Berlin, New York, Paris, San Francisco Bay Area, Singapore, Sydney, Tel Aviv, Tokyo, and Toronto. The contest hopes to introduce startups to China’s manufacturing ecosystem to establish strong supply chains with local partners so they can scale their product manufacturing successfully.

At this special event, organized by the local Startup Grind chapter, a panel of judges will hear pitches from 10 semi-finalists and select three finalists. The 3 finalists from each city will win an all-expenses-paid trip (Flights & Hotels) to attend the Guangzhou International Innovation Festival in China; exposure to Chinese government officials, local investors, and manufacturing/distribution partners; and hands-on training workshops with Brinc, before ultimately pitching at the finals. Startups places at the top-10 will win tens of thousands of dollars in grants, reimbursements and discounts.

Would you like to watch some real-life examples of market entry to China? Or do you believe you already recognize what it takes to succeed in China and can predict which startups will be chosen? Then don't miss this awesome event!
