China is the world’s largest market and manufacturing hub. THero and Brinc.io are bringing the "Make It In China" Startup Contest to 9 cities worldwide: Berlin, New York, Paris, San Francisco Bay Area, Singapore, Sydney, Tel Aviv, Tokyo, and Toronto. The contest hopes to introduce startups to China’s manufacturing ecosystem to establish strong supply chains with local partners so they can scale their product manufacturing successfully.
At this special event, organized by the local Startup Grind chapter, a panel of judges will hear pitches from 10 semi-finalists and select three finalists. The 3 finalists from each city will win an all-expenses-paid trip (Flights & Hotels) to attend the Guangzhou International Innovation Festival in China; exposure to Chinese government officials, local investors, and manufacturing/distribution partners; and hands-on training workshops with Brinc, before ultimately pitching at the finals. Startups places at the top-10 will win tens of thousands of dollars in grants, reimbursements and discounts.
