The year is 2004. Two young guys in their mid-20s share a Tel Aviv apartment and think about how to make their first million dollars. This story begins like so many other stories of if, but, and almost. Not in the case of Liad Agmon, though. He was anything but unprepared for this moment: entrepreneur dad, excellent education, military service at a highly entrepreneurial unit, and even fresh experience from working as first assistant director in the production of a successful Israeli film, straight out of film school. This is not the only Israeli film Liad would take part in. Liad and his flatmate ended up starting Onigma and selling it to McAfee for $20 million less than two years later, and this was only the beginning of Liad's entrepreneurial path. In March of 2019 as he signed the deal of selling his third company, Dynamic Yield, to McDonald's, Liad's wife caught the moment on her smartphone camera. This became the opening scene of a much-talked-about TV film revealing the effects of financial success on Liad, other high-tech entrepreneurs, their families, and their friends. Liad's contribution to Israel's tech ecosystem is immense: from founding companies and selling them to international giants which had never had any business activity in Israel, through his positions in Israeli VCs, to his teaching role at Tel Aviv University's MBA program and the fact that he believes in sharing his stories and insights with the ecosystem. And what sale stories he has! In short, we can only wish we had 3 more hours for what will surely be a captivating fireside chat. * Please make sure to complete your registration prior to the event. As always, our fireside chat will begin and end with networking over beer and snacks.
