YL Ventures is an established VC investing primarily in cybersecurity, enterprise software and automotive technologies, and operating with a long-term perspective. Unlike investors following hype, YL Ventures has developed deep market expertise and connections to evaluate opportunities. This improves the investment selection process and provides portfolio companies with significant advantages (such as advice on market niches or trends to pursue). In addition, YL Ventures' professional network in the US encompasses hundreds of industry-leading CISOs and security experts. These executives, who ultimately serve as natural potential customers, also take an active role in the due diligence process: they speak directly with entrepreneurs and then share their impression back with the investment team. Having this direct access significantly speeds up this process. More importantly, YL Ventures connects very early stage Israeli entrepreneurs with this network, helping them perfect their product-market fit, messaging and GTM strategy to the needs of potential (and eventually, actual) customers. The fund views these very early seed investments – as early as an idea and a great team – as investments in the entrepreneurs themselves. All these unique points make YL Ventures a rarity in the Israeli VC landscape, and it is worth paying attention to.
