Yanki Margalit broke into the Israeli tech scene with his first company at 23, Aladdin Knowledge Systems. Margalit led the AI and hardware company that prevented illegal software copying to an IPO in 1993. It was ultimately sold in 2009 with over 600 employees and close to $150 million in sales. Margalit recently served as Chairman of SpaceIL, a nonprofit organization aiming to land an Israeli spaceship on the moon by 2017 for the Google Lunar X Prize. He is currently a partner at Innodo Ventures, in addition to supporting the creation and development of many nonprofit organizations and social enterprises, such as Idealist.org, Latet, College4All, MEET, Adama, MIT Forum Israel and SpaceIL.
