Shkelzen is Co-founder and Managing Director of Yunus Social Business Balkans, an organization that supports impact entrepreneurship initiatives in Western Balkan countries, through incubation, acceleration, business development services and facilitation of access to financing.
He has 10+ years of experience in design and delivery of business development services, practical/hands-on training, coaching and mentoring to startups, social entrepreneurs and MSMEs, as well as provision of advice in design and implementation of financial and non-financial instruments in support to entrepreneurs in WB6 countries. He has served, for several years, as consultant and advisor on economic development policies and project design, implementation and management for several governmental and international development institutions (including World Bank, IFAD, FAO, UNDP, DfID, etc.) in more than 15 different countries of the world (including Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Cameroon, France, Kosovo, Lesotho, Macedonia, Tunisia, Turkey, Zambia, Vietnam, etc.).
He is entrepreneur himself, involved in various businesses as co-founder and or investor, and serves as board members on various companies. He is also President of the Partnership for Development Foundation (Albania), member of the Board of Directors of KGMA-Microcredit Fund (Kosovo) and member of the Advisory Board of Albanian Center for Economic Research (Albania), etc.
He graduated from CNEARC (France) in Agro-Engineering and holds a Master of Science degree from CIHEAM-IAMM (France) and Doctorate degree in Economic Development from AUT (Albania). For more than 15 years he has also served as visiting lecturer at various universities in Albania.
