Dan is a mission-driven entrepreneur. Currently, he is an active technology investor and serves as Executive Chairman at Dandelion Geothermal, a rapidly growing GoogleX spinout. From 2007-17 Dan was the co-founder and CEO of software company Opower. He led it through a $1Bn+ IPO in 2014 and its sale to Oracle in 2016. Under Dan’s tenure, Opower’s services saved more than 13 terawatt hours of energy, making it the largest US residential renewable energy company at the time. Dan has been recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, one of Fortune's 40 under 40, and a Washingtonian Tech Titan. Dan graduated from Harvard with a degree in Computer Science, summa cum laude.
