Black Founders Navigating Today’s Crisis: Where do we stand?

The Startup Grind Summer Series kicks off with an insightful fireside chat with sports tech pro, Jason Robinson (CEO of Playbook Five), moderated by Startup Grind Hollywood Director, Jameela Jackson (Founder of Hustle x Glow). This will be a thought-provoking conversation about how Black entrepreneurs can move forward and thrive in the climate of today's life-changing pandemic and heightened racial injustice.

Jason Robinson is Co-Founder & CEO of Playbook Five, a tech startup that leverages virtual reality to provide coaches and athletes an instructional solution beyond the realm of a traditional sports playbook. Jason is a Los Angeles native and former college athlete who was football team captain for Boise State, #3 ranked team in the country during his time there. Playbook Five is a revolutionary product currently being used by football programs and athletes at all levels including high schools, colleges and NFL linebacker Malcolm Smith. Jason was recently featured on a segment of KTLA's morning show discussing how Playbook Five is increasing Football Intelligence.

Jameela Jackson, Hustle x Glow, Startup Grind Hollywood
Jameela Jackson is the Founder of digital media startup Hustle x Glow and an accomplished entertainment and tech Public Relations executive. Having launched the Hollywood chapter of Startup Grind about 3 years ago, the bustling entrepreneur and single mother is originally from Los Angeles and remains passionate about contributing to her native ecosystem. Jameela serves as a community leader with Startup Grind Hollywood to help bridge the gap between local entertainment and technology startup communities while providing networking and resources for both the industry's aspiring entrepreneurs and creatives.
