Brian Williamson is an entrepreneur who also happens to be a pharmacist. Brian graduated from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy in 1996 and started his career as a clinical pharmacist in a pediatric hospital in San Antonio, TX. In 1999, with an itch to do more with his entrepreneurial spirit, Williamson joined a group teaching pharmacists how to make specialty drugs. Brian soon realized that he had found his calling! With a new son and ready to move back to Kansas with his wife, Williamson joined forces with the owners of CustomRx Pharmacy and started JCB Laboratories in 2003. JCB supplies outpatient day surgery centers and hospitals in all 50 states with specialty injectable and ophthalmic medications. In 2014, the owners of JCB sold the business to a European company with a global footprint. Williamson left the company in 2016 and is now consulting for other medically-related companies, including medical device and pharmaceutical firms. Williamson is a member of PIPELINE, a regional entrepreneurial organization, and has stayed active in the entrepreneurial community through investments, advice, and just plain listening to and being around other entrepreneurs.
