Nate Robertson, 40, spent parts of nine seasons in the Major Leagues, primarily with the Detroit Tigers. The native Wichitan was a star at Maize High School and later Wichita State University, before being drafted in the 5th round of the 1999 MLB Draft by the Florida Marlins. A part owner of the Wichita Wingnuts since their inception in 2008, Robertson assumed the role of Team President earlier this month when older brother Josh Robertson announced his resignation. Outside of the baseball arena, Robertson is the co-owner of the Candle Club, a Wichita-area private nightclub and restaurant. He's also very involved with several local nonprofits, including the Kansas Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Wesley Children's Foundation.
