About this event

Sheryl Wohlford is President & Co-Owner of Automation-Plus, Inc. – a manufacturing company headquartered in Wichita, KS started in 1987 by her husband Doug.

She graduated from Wichita State University with a B.S. in Health Care Administration. Prior to joining Automation-Plus, Sheryl was with Unisys Corporation and Koch Industries. She values community involvement and says she has been very fortunate to be involved with some outstanding organizations.

Helping build and sustain a strong community, retain young talent and ensure a great quality of life are items that are always on the agenda. Sheryl currently serves on several boards in Wichita, including the Sedgwick County Zoo, Music Theatre Wichita, WSU Board of Trustees, and WSU National Advisory Council.

As a strong advocate for the Wichita community, Sheryl has also served on several boards in the past, including the, Wichita Community Foundation, Rotary Club of Wichita (still active member), Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce, Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition, Surency Health and Life, Young Professionals of Wichita, WSU Alumni Association, Leadership Wichita, American Red Cross, Kansas Chamber of Commerce, Wichita River Festival, Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization, Tallgrass Film Festival, American Cancer Society.

Needless to say, Sheryl loves everything Wichita and is strong supporter of civic involvement because it is our duty as Wichitans to make our community a better place. Among her peers, Sheryl is viewed as a leader who is a consensus-builder — someone who’s willing to solicit and take the input of others.

Beyond her professional and community work, Sheryl is constantly looking for ways to groom future generations of community and business leaders. For Wohlford, that begins with identifying talented young professionals and helping them connect with the community, both personally and professionally.

Of course, Sheryl is a die hard Wichita State Shockers fan!
