Ashot Hovanesian is the Founder and CEO of Synergy International Systems, Inc., a global software and consulting company, based in Vienna, Virginia, USA, that provides innovative management information systems for public and private organizations around the world. Synergy operates its subsidiaries in Armenia, Netherlands, Rwanda and Ukraine.
Since its foundation in 1997, Mr. Hovanesian has been directing the company's global strategy in developing and marketing worldwide of its software solutions across public and private sectors. He transformed Synergy into a globally recognized leader, providing comprehensive IT solutions to the US government, and governments in over 80 other countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Under his supervision, Synergy International Systems has developed a technology platform known as the Intelligent Data ManagerTM (IDM), which is the technological base for all Synergy products.
Prior to Synergy Mr. Hovanesian has been working for a number of highly reputable international organizations: 1996-1997 - Technical Director at G7 Support Implementation Group in Moscow; 1994-1996 - Program Director at OECD in Paris; 1992-1994 - Project Manager at WHO European Bureau in Copenhagen. During 1985-1992 he worked as a Director of the National Information & Computing Center (NICC) of the Ministry of Health, Armenia.
Mr. Hovanesian holds Ph.D. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the Moscow Engineering & Physics Institute (1982) and a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics from Yerevan State University (1975)
