Unlocking Local Capital for Startups
Ghana is home to significant private wealth, yet most founders still look abroad for funding. What will it take for high-net-worth individuals in Ghana to see startups as a viable and impactful investment class? What role can the ecosystem play in de-risking these opportunities and building trust?

·9 months agoGreat point, John! I’m joining from Nigeria, and we’re facing the same thing, lots of amazing startups, but most still look abroad for funding.
I’ve noticed local investors start opening up more when they see clear impact stories, growth numbers, and when hubs or partners help de-risk investments.
Would be great to exchange ideas on how Ghana’s ecosystem is building that local investor trust.
