New Orleans has always been a city where creativity, resilience, and community collide to create something new. Startup Grind New Orleans exists to bring that same spirit to founders, builders, technologists, and curious minds who want to shape the future together. We think about startups here through what we call the Sugar Stack ecosystem—a nod to Louisiana’s history of refining sugar. Raw ideas are like sugarcane. They need pressure, experimentation, and refinement before something valuable emerges. The early stages require a lot of grind, and real wins for a community come from people showing up, sharing ideas, testing things, and helping each other improve. That’s the spirit behind this chapter.Startup Grind New Orleans is a safe place to experiment. Bring an idea. Bring a half-baked prototype. Bring a crazy idea you’re not sure anyone will understand. This is a place to test, fail, learn, and collaborate with open-minded, friendly people who bring a uniquely New Orleans flair to building things.Every other Thursday we host our AI Meetup, where founders, developers, students, creatives, and the simply curious gather to explore what’s possible with artificial intelligence. Some people are deeply experienced with AI tools. Others are just starting to explore them. Both belong here. The goal is simple: learn together, share what’s working, and push ideas forward. If you’re building something, thinking about building something, or just curious about what AI and startups might mean for the future, you’ll find a welcoming community here.Startup Grind New Orleans is open to everyone—from seasoned founders to the AI-curious.Culture is the original technology.

        Automation in Early-Stage Startups

For founders and entrepreneurs in the community, we invite you to share your insights on a thought-provoking question that emerged during a coffee conversation : " At the earliest stage of your startup, what was the one thing you wish you could automate? " This discussion aims to delve into your personal experiences and challenges faced during the critical nascent phase of your venture. Consider aspects such as daily operations, customer engagement, data management, or any other areas where automation could have been beneficial. Did you find yourself spending too much time on repetitive tasks? Was there a particular process that felt cumbersome or inefficient? In what ways do you think automation could have helped you focus more on growth and innovation? We encourage you to reflect on your journey and share specific examples or stories that could inspire fellow community members. Whether you're just starting out or looking back on earlier days, your contributions are valuable in igniting a collective brainstorming session about the potential of automation in shaping the future of startups.
