Sponsorship Sales Coordinator  

We’re looking for an energetic and driven individual who is motivated to sell. This is a huge opportunity to learn the ropes and develop partnerships with great brands, helping them to connect with our community of startups around the world. Startup Grind hosts two global conferences per year, one in London every June and one in Silicon Valley every February. Our Startup Grind events have significant potential for growth and in this role, you’ll be a massive part of that by driving more sponsorship sales toward them.

In addition to our events, Startup Grind has a variety of channels at our disposal, including our massive ecosystem of local entrepreneurs in 350 cities + 120 countries globally, where our chapter directors host local events every month in their cities.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn from and grow with our team, very quickly on your own path toward success. As part of a lean startup team, you’ll be given responsibilities and opportunities that would take a while to reach at any large organization. You’ll also reap the benefits of a very rewarding sales commission structure, team goals and incentives and more.

As our sponsorship sales executive, your role is to help drive leads and sell sponsorships to new partners, primarily focused on our global conferences.  This role is most suitable for a junior hire, college graduate or roughly 1-2 years of sales experience

Responsibilities

  • Find leads to sell new sponsorship packages to
  • Handle communications related to the prospective sponsor in line with our mission and goals as a company
  • Work with all teams to ensure the Startup Grind branding and positioning is consistent in all aspects when making sales to potential partners
  • Organize sales materials from start to finish, this will include drafting invoices, contracts and coordinating other necessary logistics for the preparation and delivery of the partner sponsor at the conferences
  • Support other partner sponsors with regard to logistics/comm needs (as stated above; ie. some account management)

Requirements

  • Must be highly organized and have an acute attention to detail
  • Must be a multi-tasker and be able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Must have a strong willingness to learn
  • Must be able to work with a team

Location:  Must be located in the Bay Area, working with the team in San Francisco at least 3 days per week
