Social Media for Startups with CEO of Brandwatch, Giles Palmer

It's time to forget all those social media myths around businesses and learn what is really going on. Many businesses use social media, yet only a few managed to find the secret recipe. We decided to get the best available advice and invited the CEO of world's leading social media analytics company Brandwatch.

It was a bumpy ride

Giles had an entrepreneurial spirit after he left the corporate world. But he also had another important trait common to successful people - perseverance. He needed to pivot his business idea twice, before it went global.

Giles founded Brandwatch, an online media monitoring company in 2005. Since then it has grown into four major offices around the world and it still continues to push boundaries in the social media monitoring world. They analyse and provide insights on wide variety of events, from London Riots to Spotify’s launch event in the US.

It's Still a Long Way to Go

Brandwatch’s became global, because it is different and it provides better insight. Yet Giles’ goal is to turn Brandwatch into a fantastic business, backed by amazing technology and people. He’s certainly come a long way!
