Startup Grind is a global startup community designed to educate, inspire, and connect entrepreneurs. We host monthly events in more than 35 cities (now 36!) and 15 countries featuring successful local founders, innovators, educators and investors who share personal stories and lessons learned on the road to building great companies. Each month we will be hosting a new speaker series event where we will interview a local Vancouver entrepreneurial legend and learning from their successes and failures.

Vancouver has a vibrant and quickly growing startup ecosystem with over 400 companies. Some of the biggest local startups include Hootsuite, Plenty Of Fish, Suite101, and Beyond The Rack. A number of venture capital firms, individual & networks of angels and incubators have become part of the Vancouver community to help local entrepreneurs more quickly develop their businesses. 10 years ago, Vancouver may not have had much in common with Silicon Valley but as tech startups keep exploding north of the border, the Canadian city is quickly putting itself on the map as a haven for innovators and entrepreneurs. Vancouver has birthed more tech-related startups in the past year than any other Canadian city, and with more on the horizon, things do not look to be slowing down anytime soon. The city's rising status as a booming entrepreneurial town and a digital media mecca, makes it a perfect addition to the Startup Grind family.
