Everyone has an opinion about Silicon Valley. Far fewer people have sat at the table. This edition of Startup Arena brings that table to Budapest.
István Szanda is an Angel Investor and B2C Co-Chair at Sand Hill Angels. According to Stanford GSB professor Ilya Strebulaev's research on unicorn investors, Sand Hill Angels ranks as the top angel group in the US by number of unicorn investments, with a portfolio that includes Epic Games, Beyond Meat and Carbon Health.
Forget the keynote version. This is a fireside chat about what the Valley is actually like: the culture, the vibes, the unwritten rules and the stories that never make it into a pitch deck. We'll talk about how angels there think and decide, what the dynamics really feel like, and what founders here can borrow from the Valley and what they should happily leave behind.
Hosted by Ádám Brándisz, Community & Operations Manager at HunBAN.
