Startup Grind Albany is pleased to welcome Robert Starbuck – Group President, CEO at Migrate Business Services, Chairman of Migrate America, and CEO of Migrate International Investment Company.
Migrate was founded in 2010 with the intention to facilitate business expansion in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Migrate is a global B2B services & networking company aligned with strategic and affiliate partners to help businesses:
Robert leads the build-out and development of Migrate Business Services’ operations, partnerships and investments. Under his leadership, Migrate has become a powerhouse of international business trade, with multi-billion dollar global giants as clientele, spanning numerous countries across two hemispheres.
In 2015, Migrate opened their first US branch in Saratoga Springs, NY - just two short years later, that location has room to grow and Robert is here in the US to facilitate that expansion.

Robert Starbuck is the Chief Executive Officer at Migrate Business Services, Chairman of Migrate America, and CEO of Migrate International Investment Company.
Robert leads the build out and development of Migrate Business Services’ operations, partnerships and investments. Since 2010, Migrate has been rolling out innovative Business Ecosystems to power global business flows and drive development programs. Migrate operates in the Middle East, North Africa, the United States and Europe. In addition, as Chief Executive Officer of PanBuck Ltd–the advisory and business development firm which created Migrate – Robert has been very active in Middle East forums focusing on the development of local small- and medium-sized enterprises, as well as job creation.
Robert is the key architect and investor in Migrate Regional Business Hub and Business Campus models. Robert’s past experience in the setup or reorganization of front, middle and back office functions in large multinationals was key in the development of certain components of the Migrate business model such as the design of the Professional Development Campus. Robert focuses on the development of the business lines capabilities in the region as well as in the relationship with US agencies and the development of strategic partnerships.
A firm believer in the mantra that the most meaningful awards aren’t trophies or ribbons handed out at conferences, but the results of hard work, Robert lets the success of his company speak for him. Under his leadership, Migrate has become a powerhouse of international business trade, with multi-billion dollar global giants as clientele, spanning numerous countries across two hemispheres. In 2015, Migrate celebrated a unique milestone and their largest expansion to date, when they opened the first American branch of Migrate in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Previously, Robert was Vice-Treasurer at the Swiss Reinsurance Company in Zurich; Managing Director and other senior level positions at Greenwich NatWest in London, Merrill Lynch in New York, and Nomura Securities in Tokyo and New York.
Robert is an American citizen with a degree in Economics from Harvard University (1984).
During his free time, Mr. Starbuck enjoys spending time at his family’s farm in Vermont.
