Startup Grind is one of the biggest communities of entrepreneurs in partnership with Google for Startups. Our mission is to help every entrepreneur in the world. We do so by hosting a monthly recurring event to inspire, educate, and connect entrepreneurs. The Barcelona chapter was granted the "Best Chapter of the Year" award in 2016, with the average assistance of +130 attendees per event, having held over 60 editions since April 2014 and helping local entrepreneurs to take their projects to the next level.
The event will go as follows:
1. An open mic session where any attendee is free to speak up his mind or ask for a piece of advice from the community and receive feedback.
2. A fireside chat with Elisenda Bou (CTO & Co-founder of Vilynx) hosted by our Chapter Director Àlex Rodríguez Bacardit.
3. A networking session in which attendees talk to each other freely over some beers and delicious empanadas. There's no Startup Grind where you don't leave with new friends and exciting connections.

Elisenda Bou (M.Sc. Telecom. Eng. UPC-MIT '2010, M.Sc. Electronic Eng. UPC '2011, Phd UPC '2017) is an Associate Professor at UPC, where she in in charge of several research lines on Machine Learning, Distributed Task Scheduling and Software for Nano-Satellite Constellations. Bou is also Lead SW Architect at UPC Nano-Satellite Lab (NanoSatLab) and collaborates with the MIT Aero-Astro Dept. and the UMD Aerospace Engineering Dept. She lectures on Nano-satellites at UPC and was a recipient of the 2013 Google Faculty Research Awards.
She also advises high-tech startups/spinoffs on Machine Learning and Complex Systems.
