Welcome to the Startup Grind BCN End of Year event, which is aimed at helping the Ukrainian community in Barcelona. We'll have the pleasure to host Svetlana Velikanova (Co-Founder & CEO @ Harbour.Space) for this special occasion. After the fireside chat, a big open mic session will follow and warm us up for the networking session over some cold beers! The event will take place at Talent Garden BCN. This event will be FREE for the Ukrainian community.
Startup Grind is a global startup community designed to educate, inspire, and connect entrepreneurs. We do so by hosting a monthly recurring event. The Barcelona chapter was granted the "Best Chapter of the Year" award in 2016, with an average assistance of +130 attendees per event, having held over 100 editions since April 2014 and helping local entrepreneurs to take their projects to the next level.
The event will go as follows:
1. Welcome
2. A fireside chat interview with Svetlana Velikanova hosted by our Chapter Director Àlex Rodríguez Bacardit.
3. An open mic session where any attendee is free to speak up his mind or ask for a piece of advice from the community and receive feedback.
4. A networking session in which attendees talk to each other freely over some beers and delicious empanadas. There's no Startup Grind where you don't leave with new friends and exciting connections.

CEO & Founder at MarsBased and Barcelona Chapter Director at Startup Grind. MarsBased is a 20-people full-remote development consultancy from Barcelona specialised in web and mobile applications developed with Ruby on Rails and Javascript frameworks. Àlex runs the sales/marketing area and is in charge of communications & growth of the company. His background in consulting & development (ex-Deloitte, ex-VASS) and his international profile helps him with the technical and the business perspective. His experience with volunteering (over 5 years at ESN) have helped him to build one of the strongest communities in Barcelona through Startup Grind, events for developers, curating Startup Digest, and managing a Slack community for entrepreneurs and startups in Barcelona.
