What’s all the fuss about NFTs, digital collectibles & blockchain technology? Many people will be familiar with blockchain as the underlying enabling technology developed for Bitcoin... but it may also provide several important features that could be leveraged for use in the creative economy as well. Join our next #SGvirtual fireside chat with Marjorie Hernandez, Co-Founder of LUKSO.
Many people will be familiar with blockchain as the underlying enabling technology developed for Bitcoin... but it may also provide several important features that could be leveraged for use in the creative economy as well.
Join our next #SGvirtual fireside chat with Marjorie Hernandez, Co-Founder and Managing Director at LUKSO, the Blockchain for the New Creative Economies. Marjorie is a multi-faceted innovation and product expert, equal parts entrepreneur and designer. The Caracas-born trained architect, strategist and innovation consultant, built and led EY’s Innovation Lab in Berlin, before founding LUKSO. Marjorie worked in Art Direction across Europe, before establishing herself as a Brand Strategist for Swiss and German brands. She created and managed EY’s Digital Innovation Lab, as a Digital Transformation and Strategy Executive, where she worked closely on Ethereum and with the IOTA Foundation.
Together with Marjorie, we want to discuss the explosive (and inclusive) potential of blockchain technology and how the creative industry can benefit from it.
LUKSO is a blockchain platform specifically created for the lifestyle industry, providing a decentralised innovation and trust infrastructure for fashion brands, start-ups and customers. It offers the foundation for new forms of automated economic interactions and sustainable ownership management. LUKSO makes it possible to create digital lives for real-life products with a combination of sewn-in chips, smart contracts, and user interfaces. The digital twin of a physical fashion item uncovers and preserves its unique history and value: this includes the knowledge about its producers, authenticity, provenance, previous owners, or about its order in a batch of production. The newfound knowledge about a fashion item then becomes a source of luxury in its own.
