In 2001 Tim cofounded Sedo, a global marketplace for buying and selling domain names and websites, out of Cologne, Germany. He served as CEO of the formerly publicly traded company, which had over €100 million in revenues. During his time with the company, Sedo successfully opened up offices in both Boston and London.
In 2009 Tim became the CEO of Sedo Holding Group, a leading supplier of online performance-based marketing solutions. During this time, in this new role, he was able to maintain control of Sedo, as well as lead Affilinet, a leading European affiliate marketing network.
After three years with Sedo Holdings, Tim moved on and became a managing director at TS Ventures GmbH in 2012. Since then he has dedicated his professional career to the German start-up scene, acting both as a co-founder and investor for young companies with economic potential. His current start-ups, among many others, are Eyeo/Adblock Plus, Aklamio, Home and Ecosia.
