This fireside chat for GEW features two incredible Boston entrepreneurs who are crafting the future of the wellness industry to share their entrepreneurial journeys, tips for early stage founders and advice for navigating the industry. Robyn Parets is a former studio owner and current CEO of Pretzel Kids. Chris Lucas was the digital director for a large yoga brand and now is the CEO of Ompractice.
Robyn is the founder and CEO of Pretzel Kids, the nation's first branded kids yoga and mindfulness web platform. She has been in the yoga business since 2004, first as a studio owner in suburban Boston and now with Pretzel Kids. Prior to that she was a financial journalist with Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) and several other media outlets. Robyn realized she would rather be an entrepreneur than write about them and took the leap into the startup world.
In addition to running Pretzel Kids, she is also a business coach for female entrepreneurs, furthering her mission to help women create successful businesses. Robyn loves to spend time with her 3 grown sons, 2 dogs and 1 husband.
Chris is a co-founder and CEO of Ompractice. He is the former digital director for a large yoga brand, as well as a certified yoga teacher since 2010. As a teacher, he taught all over the US, including six years at events for the Obama White House. Known for his insights and track record when it comes to the future of wellness, has been a consultant and in-house technologist to numerous professional athletes, sports teams, consumer and fitness brands.
