In 2003, Microsoft acquired RAV Antivirus, a technology forming the backbone of the company's Internet security systems. In 2010, Naspers acquired GECAD ePayment, Romania's leading eCommerce service provider now known under the name of PayU Romania; followed by the 2013 exit from Avangate, eCommerce solutions global vendor, to American investment fund Francisco Partners.
Presently, Radu is Founding Partner of GECAD Group. GECAD Group invests in companies with high growth potential with the ability to innovate and deliver new ideas and products in their markets. GECAD primarily focuses on software and hi-tech companies, including security software, cloud technologies, eCommerce and payment methods. Some of the active companies in GECAD’s portfolio are Vector Watch, Pawsquad or Gluru, companies with global roll-out and headquarters in Europe and USA.
