About this event

Startup Grind Chengdu is kicking off 2019 with Mr. Joe Pattinson, Head of Mobility Services, BMW China and CEO of BMW Mobility Services Ltd, on January 28th at WeWork!

Joe and his team late last year chose Chengdu as headquarters to expand the car-sharing service ReachNow into a premium ride-hailing service. The service offers customers a premium experience with highly trained chauffeur drivers, traveling in a fleet of 200 BMW 5 Series vehicles, with a mix of combustion and electric engines. The expansion also makes BMW the first global carmaker to enter the rapidly growing China ride-hailing mobility market.

We will be tapping into the German luxury carmaker’s launch and expansion of the premium ride-hailing service ReachNow; Joe’s insights into the opportunities and challenges presented in a world where customers are taking up mobility solutions as a means of building a sustainable urban future.
