Traditionally May will feature female leaders from all over the world at all Startup Grind events. In Chengdu we are proud to present not only one, but two bad-ass women in tech! Sophia Yao from Fenox VC and Jinger Zeng from Auterion. The session will be hosted by Alice Zhou from IBM!

Speaker 1 - Sophie Yao_______________________

General Manager, Fenox VC China

Sophie Yao serves as the General Manager of Fenox China, responsible for leading deal sourcing, investment activities, business development as well as accelerator management. Sophie has 7+ years experienced in management, startup business and deal sourcing. Before Fenox she worked at Fortune 500 high-tech companies, such as Microsoft and Intel. She got her master degree of Material Engineering in University of Queensland. She is also the Chairman of Actnow Toastmaster Club.

Fenox Venture Capital is a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm. It has a 80+ person team operating across 14 different contries and offers a wide range of domain expertise.


Speaker 2 - Jinger Zeng______________________

Auterion, Head of China Ecosystem 

Jinger Zeng is a technologist and entrepreneur. She is a mechanical engineer by training, and led a team in the development and realization of a net-zero solar house that won international award when she was at University of Nevada Las Vegas. She then co-founded Dronesmith Technologies in 2014, a company that develops drone hardware and software for developers and corporates. She graduated from Women’s Startup Lab and Techstars IoT. Currently, she works for Swiss startup Auterion, heading its platform adoption and community building in Asia.

Auterion builds the open source infrastructure for autonomous robots. On the same mission for a decade.

IBM, Greater China Facilities Sourcing Lead

Alice Zhou is working for IBM as Greater China Facilities Sourcing Lead. In her personal capacity, she is the founder of TeenTechChina a chapter of TeenTechSF GLOBAL which is a global tech community for teens. She also serves as regional ambassador for Technovation which is a global platform to encourage teen girls to get engaged in tech and innovate.
